Featuring Estelí Gomez, Soprano

A deep dive into the rich musical culture of our next door neighbor, Mexico Lindo y Querido shows us what we’ve all been missing in the traditional canon. Padilla, Capillas, and Zumaya are just some of the baroque composers who started creating art in Mexico long before there was anything comparable happening up north. Twentieth Century composers like Carillo didn’t just experiment with form; they also embraced microtonal music and made it irresistible. And mariachi is just one of a cornucopia of folk styles to explore. This will be the first time A Far Cry has played Mexican music, and we can’t wait.
