and students from NEC Prep and Project STEP
Pre-concert performance at 7:30 PM by the Project STEP Honors Quartet
Next Generation shines a light on the ambition of the younger generation: Ethan Wood’s zany and virtuosic take on Mozart’s iconic children’s song, Galina Ustvolskaya taking on her teacher, Shostakovich, at his own game, and Benjamin Britten paying homage to his mentor, Frank Bridge, with a cutting and epic masterpiece for strings.
For this program, A Far Cry will be joined by three winners of A Far Cry's annual New England Conservatory Prep School Competition: Sean Diehl, Keina Satoh, and Julide San. Read more about these talented students.
Furthermore, A Far Cry welcomes the Honors Quartet from Project STEP, who will perform before the concert. This appearance is the culmination of work between Project STEP students and Criers which has taken place throughout the year.
