Austin McMahon

Austin McMahon received his master's degree in Jazz performance from the University of Miami in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Boston and began performing with the finest local musicians including: Jason Palmer, Tim Miller, The Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra, George Garzone, Kevin Harris Project and Quartet of Happiness (a jazz group focused on educational outreach).

In addition to his local career, Austin actively tours with many projects including the Joe Davidian Trio, Carmen Staaf Trio and has performed at jazz clubs and festivals in New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Seattle, Portland, and Miami as well as internationally in Germany, Ireland and Italy. He recently released his first album as leader entitled Many Muses (fractamodi.com), which has been described by CDBaby as, "subtle, reverential to tradition, and thoroughly new."
