  • NEC's Jordan Hall 30 Gainsborough Street Boston, MA, 02115 United States (map)

The power of gravity defines us in a very real way, and the sweep of this program moves from the cold weightlessness of space down through the atmosphere to the surface of the world - before zooming back out again. Part and Xenakis present very different visions of space; one serene, the other filled with potentially violent energy. Kernis’s heavenly harmonies make way for the richly grounded Bartok, while Golijov’s “Tenebrae” takes a look at our pale blue dot through an ancient musical lens.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are available online through the Jordan Hall website (click ticket button below). They can also be purchased at the door or by calling the Jordan Hall box office at 617-585-1260. Tickets are no longer available through the A Far Cry website.
