Maybe seeing a cardinal reminds you of your grandmother; or perhaps your mother’s love of gardening lives in you and you think of her warmth when you see spring’s first blooms. Maybe hearing someone cackle reminds you of your uncle’s infectious and unbridled laugh. Mozart and Schubert’s final chamber works, coincidentally both quintets, hundreds of years later make up a musical legacy we still find joy in exploring, studying, playing, and listening to. This program celebrates all those ways a person can leave a legacy.”
