A Far Cry presents Music for the Temple: a program inspired by spirals, imagination, and prolific women ahead of their time. Centered around themes of spirituality, evolution, and the interconnectedness of the universe, this program draws inspiration from the work of turn of the 20th-century Swedish abstract artist, Hilma af Klint, whose interest in mysticism and regular participation in seances led to the creation of 193 paintings known as “Paintings for the Temple”– works she imagined, and in some ways predicted, would one day be displayed in a spiral temple.

Left to right: Violinists Jae Cosmos Lee, Megumi Lewis, Miki Cloud, and Grant Houston; violists Celia Hatton and Jason Fisher; cellists Hannah Collins and Michael Unterman.

All programs subject to change. Single tickets go on sale August 1, 2024.
