About the concert:
Violinist Jesse Irons (on baroque violin) will be joined by keyboardist Andrus Madsen to present a collection of pieces inspired by the repeating bass lines famous in Chaconnes. As a tiny homage to the Central/South America origin of the Chacona, the program will include an improvisation on another famous repeating bass line from Mexican folk music, "La Bamba.” The remainder of the program is meditative, whimsical, energetic, hypnotic, and restorative. The performance will be live-streamed from the acoustically beautiful space of The Second Church of Newton.

Later Event: November 21
