VIOLIN HERO
A Far Cry hearkens back to the Golden Age of violin playing with three works by violinist-composers active around the turn of the century. Enescu’s Octet will be performed in an arrangement for string orchestra, which, the composer is reported to have said, is “how it should be done!”
