HEALTH & SAFETY

As we transition back to in-person concert experiences, A Far Cry is committed to providing a safe environment for our audiences, musicians, and staff. Thank you for adhering to our protocols and for your partnership in making our return to the concert hall a safe and joyous one.

Please note that the following safety protocols are being put in place for our September concerts; however, we know how quickly things can change. We will continue to monitor state, municipal, and federal guidelines and policies to inform and update safety protocols put into effect across the 2021-2022 season and as public health conditions dictate. A Far Cry will proactively communicate with ticket holders about any changes to safety protocols across the season. You can also check back on this page for updates and/or contact the A Far Cry Box Office (boxoffice@afarcry.org or 617.553.4887) with questions.

A FAR CRY SAFETY PROTOCOLS

At this time, A Far Cry’s Safety Protocols include the following:

INDOOR CONCERTS:

  • All audience members age 5 and up need to be fully vaccinated according to CDC guidelines, which state that, “In general, people are considered fully vaccinated:

    • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or

    • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.”

  • All audience members age 5 and up need to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to attend indoor AFC concerts, and should be prepared to show proof of vaccination (vaccination card or photo of vaccination card) upon entry. There will be no exceptions to this rule (A Far Cry does not accept proof of negative COVID test, for example). Additional information about entry protocols for upcoming events will be shared prior to each performance date.

  • A Far Cry staff and musicians performing in the 2021-2022 season will be fully vaccinated.

  • All audience members age 2 and up must properly wear a mask at all times while inside any AFC concert venue, covering the area from the bridge of the nose to down below the chin and fitting snugly around the jaw.

  • Unless otherwise noted, concerts will take place without intermissions and post-concert receptions to reduce audience movement and duration of time spent inside.

  • Contactless ticketing and program book options will be provided and are strongly encouraged (option to receive all information digitally to avoid additional in-person contact).

  • Limited seating capacity at venues may be in effect. Please note that A Far Cry will not put on sale more usable seats than have been confirmed by our venue hosts. Additional seats may be opened up as venues allow and at the discretion of A Far Cry.

OUTDOOR CONCERTS:

  • A Far Cry will not be checking vaccination cards or requiring audience members to wear masks for outdoor concerts.

For patrons who are not vaccinated and therefore cannot attend in-person, indoor A Far Cry concerts, we are pleased to offer a virtual alternative - see “Go Virtual” below for more information.

All of the above policies and requirements are subject to change.

VENUES

A Far Cry is also working in coordination with individual venue hosts to communicate and uphold any venue-specific safety measures in addition to those listed above. As soon as safety protocols for each venue are confirmed, A Far Cry will share them below and communicate those details (and any updates) to all relevant ticket buyers.

  • NEC’s Jordan Hall

    • UPDATE - Per NEC’s recently revised safety protocols, the audience capacity limitations for concerts taking place at Jordan Hall have now been lifted, and seating will no longer be socially distanced. Subscribers, please note: you should have received a note from us with more information about what this means for you and your seats. If you have not received this email or have additional questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at boxoffice@afarcry.org or 617-553-4887!

  • St. John’s Church

    • At this time, audience capacity for AFC concerts at St. John’s Church will be limited to 200 total audience members.

    • Seating is general admission, and there will be guidance on site to reduce the number of people per row in order to encourage social distancing.

  • The Longy School of Music’s Pickman Hall

    • At this time, audience capacity for AFC concerts at Longy will be limited to 200 total audience members.
