Speaking personally, I very much appreciate the depth and breadth of his critiques - commenting on everything from acoustics to the start time to the program notes to the aural and visual spectacle, all of which have a true impact on the overall experience. Along with the suggestions, there are plenty of great "review words," as well: "knock-out performance"; "boundary-crossing"; "energetic" (we get that one a lot); "power and discipline in both sight and sound"; "fiery"; "wonderfully warm"; "delightfully inviting"; "a visceral experience"; "tour de force."
