After a lovely two days in Tucson, a crew of Criers arose early and made our way to the Tucson airport, eager to make our way to Los Angeles for the Grammy nominee reception. Before we even set foot in the airport we received the disheartening news that our flight had been delayed...by over five hours. Ouch.
After hurriedly investigating every possible option to get our merry band to LA on time, we accepted our fate and set about waiting. Wanting to make the most of an unfortunate situation, we did what we do best: we pulled out our instruments and started playing. We figured it would help us pass the time—and hopefully perk up the other weary travelers in similar situations to ours.
We're happy to report that we're on our flight now. We'll have a video of our impromptu concert to post soon, but in-flight wifi being what it is, that will have to wait. In the meantime, here's a link to one of the songs we played in the terminal, from when we performed it in a more traditional concert venue.
UPDATE: Here's the video! You'll notice that we're missing quite a few folks—including the entire cello section—but we dove in anyway. If you want to see a version of the song in the video below with the full band, we've got one of those, too.
Thanks to all of our new friends at the Southwest terminal at the Tucson international airport for sharing in music with us.
With love and music,
The Criers
